The Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee
At the recent International Conference on Arabidopsis Research held in Beijing, China, the MASC formally adopted a 3 year rotation for future Annual Arabidopsis meetings to include (1) North America (2) Europe (3) Asia/Pacific Rim. These changes were implemented to reflect the growing globalization of the Arabidopsis community.
In 2008, the NAASC will host the 19th ICAR in Montreal, Canada (July 23-28, 2008).
In 2009, GARNet plans to host the 20th ICAR in the United Kingdom.
In 2010, a location in Asia/Pacific Rim will be solicited for the 21st ICAR.
In 2011, the meeting is expected to rotate back to North America for the 22nd ICAR.
Feedback may be sent to the MASC via the MASC Coordinator (Joanna Friesner, jdfriesner@ucdavis.edu) or the MASC Chair (Xing Wang Deng, xingwang.deng@yale.edu).
