FESPB AWARDS TO YOUNG EUROPEAN PLANT SCIENTISTS

The FESPB Awards are the Federation’s most prestigious honors. Two awards are presented during each Plant Biology Europe (PBE) Congress to young scientists selected by the FESPB Awards Committee, based on nominations submitted by the constituent Societies of FESPB.

Awardees receive sponsorship to attend the PBE Congress, including waived registration fees and hotel accommodation. In addition, they are granted a monetary prize and a certificate. These prizes are typically sponsored by two renowned scientific journals. The winners are also invited to give an invited talk at the Congress.

To be eligible for the next edition of the FESPB Awards, candidates must have obtained their PhD no more than six years prior to the start of the Congress and must be no older than 36 years. Maternity leave (one year per child) is taken into account when calculating this period.

Applications must be submitted using the official application and nomination forms. These should be sent to both the Chair of the Awards Committee and the Secretary General by the deadline, which will be announced in due time before the next Congress.
